This year INDONESIA JEWELLERY FAIR (“IJF”) and INDONESIA GOLDSMITHS AND JEWELERS ASSOCIATION (“APEPI”) are once again held their 2 (two) landmark international jewellery exhibitions which are 6th Jakarta International Jewellery Fair 2013 (“6th JIJF 2013”) and 18th Surabaya International Jewellery Fair 2013 (“18th SIJF 2013”).
Participation of both national and international exhibitors in these exhibitions has showed that trade promotion particularly in jewellery industry through collaborated exhibition is essential and needed to expand and advance jewellery market in Indonesia. Trade promotion through exhibition is also an effective distribution channel for jewellery entrepreneurs to introduce and market their best products that will eventually increase their market share and revenue.
The support of Indonesian Government and its departmental ministries enhances the exhibitions’ added value even more. Participation of small-and-medium enterprises within creative jewellery industry under the care-taker of the Government in promoting and expanding its commercial market has been proven highly effective. And, the enhancement of SME’s welfare has been resulted.
Indonesian jewellery is well-known for their combination of traditional design and modern production that in turn has created unique and high quality products. Those creations cannot be fully maximized and their uniqueness will be gradually diminished if they are not supported through their participation in national and international jewellery exhibitions.
We sincerely hope that this year 6th JIJF 2013 and 18th SIJF 2013 will again succeed in enhancing and increasing Indonesian jewellery market as they have done so for many years before, especially in a creative jewellery industry which in turn will also contribute to the growth of Indonesian economy.
Our objective in these jewellery exhibitions is that both 6th JIJF 2013 and 18th SIJF 2013 will set a benchmark for an international jewellery exhibition in Indonesia and make them successful events for exhibitors and consumers.
In closing, I would like to thank all parties contributed to these exhibitions and making them The Pride of Indonesia.
